Here are some complaints I have overall about the 360, some of the games, or anything else going on...
1. Ultimate Mortal Kombat. This game has been out for a long time. Only 1 or 2 different backgrounds. Stupid
2. COD 3 freezes my 360 more that usual now when I try to join a friend's session
3. Now on my 4th headset. Quality control not too strong with these things
4. Can we get an official arcade joystick already? I mean this is the ARCADE afterall...
I think that'll do for my complaining right now. Anyone else?

i cannot for the life of me imagine what in the hell microsoft is thinking here. the system has been out for 16 months now and STILL has the same stock ridiculously small hard drive. for $100...

I just want one that works and doesn't need replacing!!!. Waiting for my 2nd replacement from Microsoft. That twice in 10 months and 2 too many in my opinion. I hope this one is trouble free, PLEASE, be trouble free.

Bigger hard drive that are resonably priced.

Fix the problem that makes so many units crash and burn.

A bigger HDD would be nice but I still have over 7GB of space on mine so I wonder how much I'd really need one. However, with a larger HDD they would be able to give us larger LIVE Arcade titles and demos.

Bigger HD
Fix HD-DVD audio issues now! (don't wait until "late spring/early summer" as Amirm posted recently)
A joystick for the arcade would be nice. Back in the day, I could get to 100K playing Galaga without breaking a sweat. Now, I can barely break 70K.
Also, how about two player games!!! Hello? No two player for Galaga and Ms. Pac Man.
I realize it makes no sense because they support Toshiba and HD-DVD, but how about a dual HD player or a stand alone BD player?
Sloth, your right about those headsets. They suck. I used mine for a day and went back to my Xbox 180 headset. When that broke, I started using the X205 and I love it. It's bulky but sound quality is top notch and everyone can hear me perfectly.

EDIT: Two more: expand friends list to at least 150 and more clan support!

Yeah, that would make the service so much better. May as well just press the flush lever and watch it all go down the drain. Hey, then Sony would have some close online competition.

How about some way to impose a minimum age for using Live? Maybe 18 or 21? Impossible I know, but one can dream......

As said above---an age filter for xbox LIVE would be great---set up some sort of adult gaming zone.

GREAT idea about the black 360. Give the consumer some variety in the purchase, not just the faceplate. The headset issue is inexcuseable. These things have to cost 2 bucks tops to make and they sell them for 20 bucks. That's not right. Up the quality of these things please. I don't think the hard drive size is too much of an issue with me, but it may be down the road. My smack talk box is down and pretty much officially down for the count. I plug my headset into it and can hear the insults when I push one of the buttons, but nobody else can hear it! Sad because I had such fun with this thing. But since it is a 3rd party product, not microsoft's fault. I love the 360, but I can't help but feel like I'm walking on eggshells here... even when the system freezes and I shut it down and I can hear the disc spinning a million rpm's in there, I'm afraid to push the button too fast. I feel like the motor spinning the disc will start to deteriorate! Likely unjustified fear, but with the rampant system failures I don't take any chances.

i don't think it's possible to make an HDMI dongle. there is a place to put a port on the motherboard, but out of the main socket, i don't think it would work.

you guys just have to wait for the home theater model to be announced. maybe this week at the conference?

I really doubt you'll ever see a black 360. I don't think MS wants to make a console that resembles a ps2/3 in any way.

Larger capacity drive as mentioned.
Audio issue with HD-DVD add-on.
XBLA needs to get with it, plenty of old school titles out there we wasted a bunch of quarters on. I can't believe Sony managed to get MKII and we were stuck with UMK3.
Age filter, that's genius.
Release a calibration tool for those who care about color accuracy.

The downloadable games on the 360 just aren't all that large. The movie rentals are pretty big, I suppose, but I don't expect to ever download more than 1 at a time. So I don't really have a need for a larger hard drive.

How about pricing the XBLA games reasonably, instead of the flat $10 rate? While some games on there might be worth $10, I'd only be willing to pay $5 for most of them.

About the headsets being so cheap - I used my "official" headset for maybe a day before I went out and bought a quality 3rd party headset for $20. Any "telephone headset" with the minijack connector works fine -- it doesn't have to be made specifically for the xbox 360. I found a plantronics one with in-line volume and mic volume controls, and it works great. Look in the telephone section of any major electronics store.

The old arcade games are $5. Only the new games are $10 (or more).

Well, that was fast... they sure do respond quickly to complaints :D

I guess I'll have to take another look at the ol' XBLA. Thanks...

More than 24 hours to watch a movie after you hit play.

I know that you have 15 days to watch the movie. But I want at least 3 days to watch it once I hit play.

Yes I would agree with the Post of giving us a Black 360 would be nice.
Microsoft wants this to be part of the Home Entertainment experience. How the hell can I do that when it sticks out like a sore thumb amougst all my Black Theatre components!

Plus would love HDMI!

Stop asking for a bigger HD and start asking for a firmware update to allow full use of a USB drive.

- A wireless arcade joystick is a must. I cannot for the life of me understand how it doesn't exist. A good 3/4 of the XBLA games just cannot be played well with the standard joystick.
- A bigger HD drive. If Msoft expects folks to use the download services a lot this is needed.
- HDMI connection.
- Black unit.
- And I second the call for Killer Instict. Oh, what a joy that would be.
- Cooler system/quieter fans. In my HT rack the system gets hot and the fans get super loud after 45 or so mins of gaming or HD-DVD movies.

well, for starters...life at home is always smoother, and easier when the wife is pleased.

Secondly, I can annoy my wife just as easily without any help from the 360! ;)

Suggestion?

Take the "black" idea and go one step further. Make a good mid-sized, full depth AV unit case for the system.

2"-3" high should be more than enough, with feet, to house everything. You can also make it deep enough to be about the same size as your CD carousel or amp.

Put new fans on the back, several of them, that would run a bit quieter. I would suggest looking at some of the media cases they are building now.

I would also look to standardize the drives so you can just slide them into the front like a RAID array on a blade server. Imagine being able to plug your HD-DVD player strait into the system?

Allow the USB to be a true USB, allowing Keyboard (Wireless would be great!) drive and mouse support (Look out FPS if I get a good wireless mouse!). I know this would make it pretty much into agaming computer, but KB/Mouse support is no biggie.

They also need to reduce the prices on the Arcade Classics. If you can download an emulator and pretty much every game ever made for free (or nominal charge) why pay $5 for Frogger/Dig-Dug/BEER (NOT "Root" Beer) Tapper?

$1 for the classics, $5 for the previous generation games (Sega, PS1, N64) and $10 for previous console and they will see a LOT more interest.

Wireless Joystick is a must! Hell, you have a +$100 steering wheel, the next two that are necessary are a good, heavy, DURABLE joustick (dual stick, 6 button), and several analog flight stick combos.

Of course, for the latter, you would need some good Mech/Space/Flight sims/adventures first!

But they have not tried a current generation/Original SW game yet, and games like Wing Commander would also be pretty nice!

That is about all I can think of now, but the key things would be making it more integratable into an actual AV system/cabinet, more interoperability with peripherals, and a more apropriate price schedule for different online items.

Pretty much:

1.) Bigger HDD
2.) Quiter DVD Drive, shouldn't be noisy at all this is next gen people! If sony can do it so can microsoft!
3.) Better Live Arcade titles, most suck! but debateable.
4.) Better uses of previewing movies before you buy them, like how about actually showing a full screen trailor instead of viewing it in a tiny window?

5.) more variety in games, more RPG's,Adventure games, platformers, stealth games, we have way too many shooters, we need more variety in generes something sony has done right. more japanese games too!

6.) price drop to $299 for premium and $199 for the Core package.
7.) make use of the HDD and actually offer HDD caching.

I've got a complaint for you guys... When you push the menu button on the controller (you know, that huge thing in the middle of the controller), sometimes it takes forever to get into the menu. Minor beef, but I'm getting shot in the knee cap here and I get an urgent message from my buddy and it takes forever to read the message. Also, I want the 360 to be able to beam food to me like in the Jetsons. Or maybe a beer so I don't have to drive hammered

Along those same lines, it would be nice if the "shut down console" and "turn off controller" were accessed by just pressing the "big X button" once, instead of the stupid "press and hold for three seconds" B.S.

Sometimes I play split-screen CoD3 on xbox Live with one of my kids. When I'm done playing (and he still wants to play) it takes way too long for me to quit:
1) Press "start button" then select "quit" to exit me out of the game.
2) Press "big X button" then press "X" to sign my gamertag out of the xbox.
3) Press and hold "big X button" for three seconds then select "turn off controller" to turn off the conroller.

I've gotten pretty quick at it, but still the whole process takes around ten seconds. That's ten seconds with all sortsa other menus and crap on the screen disrupting the game that my son is trying to play. I usually wait until he dies to do it, so as not to cause too much of a disruption, but it sure is a hassle.

1. Can't comment on pay per view movies because we don't get any here in Canada hint hint
2 Can't comment on ppv tv shows either
3. want a reliable system that runs cooler and quieter. I don't care how you do it, just do it. I don't care if the box is the size of my desktop pc , just do it.
4. Oh, that's is all, because my 360 is DEAD.

Ps3 is sound pretty good to me lately.

Same here. I've had my console since launch, and have yet to get close to filling it. Any demo's are deleted after playing for a bit, the movies are only good for a short period so they need to be deleted off, I stream tunes from MCE PC, etc...

But what if you want to keep it to show off for friends or family? Spend 1-2 hours downloading it again? A bigger HD would make a big difference for Xbox360

How about:

1. Keep the same HD just slash the price in half.
2. Please make the console more quiet.
3. Make accessing the menus more responsive during game play.
