If I have the 360 and an HTPC but only one vga connect on my TV is there a switch I could buy to toggle back and forth between the units? Would a KVM switch work? Am I going to lose my 1080p if I use a switch?

TIA -Mike

Most VGA KVMs will support heigher than 1080p resolution.

Why not just us the component cables for the 360, if you have a HTPC for all non-gaming media?

I would like to use the X Box with the VGA to upscale all my SD DVD's

You will have more control over the quality if you use your HTPC to upscale the SD DVDs. (FFdshow, Powerstrip, TheaterTek, etc...)

But I agree that the 360 is a simpler solution.
