View Full Version : AURA bass shaker no shake cenzo 03-05-07, 10:58 PM I cant seem to get my bass shakers to shake like I thought they would can I hook another receiver to them like a amp I have a old sony thats 200watt? vili 03-06-07, 08:03 AM Where are the shakers installed and how many of them are there? If you only have 1 in a large riser you probably won't feel very much from it. Also, make sure they are connected properly and your amp is designed to handle as many shakers as you have installed. Magius 03-06-07, 06:31 PM I have 2 of the regular Aura's (non-pro) installed in my girlfriend's "brand new" leather couch along with a parts express plate amp. Don't ask how I managed to pull that one off :D . Anyway, even though the amp is only rated for 22.5W RMS to each shaker, I have to keep the gain quite low or else the effect is far too much and not enjoyable. I guess my point is that installed correctly, even a trivial amount of power should be enough to feel something from your shakers. Like vili said, you won't be moving entire risers with a single shaker, but let us know how they're installed, how they're wired, and what your current amp is capable of, and we may be able to help you fix it up. jkv 03-13-07, 06:49 AM I have 2 shakers installed in a couch and 2 more installed in a love seat. I built a frame w/i both of these pieces and mounted the shakers on to the built frame. These are powered by a separate amp off of the LFE channel of my amp...they shake, they rock, they roll :) Make sure they are mounted properly and are driven by your LFE connection; nothing says "weird" on hearing voices from under your seat (unless that is normal for you  ) Also, I tuned my shakers 10db less (65db) then the rest of my speakers..that made a big difference HTH cenzo 03-13-07, 07:34 PM I have them under the front row couch jamed under so the couch is sitting on them I seem to get lots of bass this way Im powering them now with a sony receiver they pump now |
