The dark/black spots appear on these RP TV are just dust and debris, correct? I mean the pixel can't just "die or stuck" unlike LCD I assume.

Since you don't state what technology you have, it's impossible to answer. RP LCD can have bad pixels; RP DLP can have stuck mirrors. Do you have either of them, or do you have a CRT or LCOS?

I think I have RP LCOS the sony KDSR60.
I just wonder if these screens can have similiar pixel issues compared to LCD

I don't know if I should get the free Sony home repair for tiny hairline dark spots...I mean it is not a huge imperfection but the tv is new, just got it, so I kinda want it free from any problems..I am just not sure if it is a screen problem or just some dust on the indside

The new LCoS front projector from JVC (the RS-1 / HD-1) states that the panels have less than 0.01% dead pixels. Not sure if they are speaking of full pixels (2M) or each color (6M), but that tallies to 200 or 600 dead pixels per TV, so yes, LCoS does have a dead pixel issue. No one seems to have been bothered by it or even noticed in the past. At least they can repair the panels so there are no stuck-on pixels - those you could see.

now i am not sure if my tv has dead pixels or just just have dust somewhere inside.
the spots are larger than a few pixels and are somewhat blurry.
