View Full Version : Legitimate source of HD information?

Hey everyone. I'm shortly going to be giving a presentation on HD video and its various formats, and though I pretty much know by heart everything I'm going to be talking about, what I don't have is legitimate sources to quote on such things. Anyone have any kind of official links or resource where it states things such as the standards for 480i/p, 720p, 1080i/p, the difference between interlaced video and progressive scan, framerates, et cetera? Obviously any of this info can be found on Wikipedia or a play like that, but such sources are not considered legitimate or reliable in the scholastic world, I'm afraid.

Not HD Video, but more specifically HDTV in the US can be found here:

Very technical, not sure if this is what you're looking for...

Wikipedia usually has links to the sources...
