If you're talking about worms like earthworms - I think that any animal you can cut in half and both halves live is pretty neat.

If you're talking about worms like my dog used to have - I don't want to go there...

Just kidding... I've never played Worms, but I've heard good things about it. I'll probably try it out with my son and if he likes it, I'll buy it.

Downloaded it in the middle of the night (I don't sleep much) It's as much fun as I remember on the PC many moons ago. Controls are smooth and intuitive, graphics are simple but very nice. Team 17 has got a winner for the arcade IMO. GRAW 2 tonight though !! :)

Finally a positive review...I've been hearing some pretty negative stuff about the game but this is probably coming from people who never played the series to begin with...

I've been thinking of snatching this up since I have 1200 points left and using the additional for TMNT but after the disappointment of Alien Hominid which I actually was pumped up for I am not so sure I want to spend another 800 points.

Great freaking game. Graphics are so nice coming from the computer screen. But there are some big complaints which need and will be fixed (I hope). A lot of weapons are missing that are totally nessacary like the parachute, bungee. I never saw any cool weapons yet like the old woman or holy grenade. They have to add these to the game. Also they need more options you have no control of the package frequency or health. These things can all be updated though. I think they just wanted to get this game out already. I love it but without parachutes its a little rough. If you need to get down far and there is no place to use a rope you cant get down without a jetpack. This happened to me and pissed me off. If I could have jumped with a parachute I would have got the little bastard!!! It is worth the buy though I would even pay another 400 to have all the stuff I listed in the game.

This is not sloppy at all. I just played some more and they really have to add some options. I just found out you can not have teams like 2v2. And the weapons really need a upgrade. There are no cool things in crates or utility packs. Just the weapons you start with. They will do these updates theyd better or this game will die out fast.

I'm liking it. It is VERY simple, but a fun game to dabble with every now and then. I'm liking it.

10 bucks is...kinda worth it. It looks very nice, and I see this being fun online. Yeah, I'm happy. Good purchase.

I bought it...Very nice and solid game the only complaint I have is that getting in the game can be a hassle saying the "worms servers are unavailable" but other than that solid game...Love it well worth the 10 bucks...I've been playing it all evening, the online environment is laid back and friendly...Hopefully they give updates every now and then even if it is a weapon or map pack to keep people still playing...I would hate this game to die quick, its extremely fun.

It's been so long since I have played a Worms game, but I think they have laid the bases for a good Live game with the add ons to come. Graphics are nice and the controling is pretty smooth I thought. I only played the CPU, but I am really looking forward to when a few friends stop by. I was hoping to play online last night, but just never got around to do it. I suck bad enough as it is on that game.

I actully liked worms 3d when it came out. This one is fun but yeah the lack of some of the sgnature weapons was well lacking. I'll wait on it until they give some upgrades or put some good DLC on the marketplace for it.

While I miss the Holy Hand Grenade, baseball bat, super sheep, etc. I still think this is a very solid game. I'm looking forward to putting in plenty of time with the community I game with. Definitely worth the $10.

Didn't they state that it was about hitting the 50 MB requirement (as the 150 MB limi wasn't available at the time)? Although I can't imagine they'd pass up money and release weapon packs or map themes for free. . .

I played this for a couple hours last night. First time playing worms and I loved it. Can't wait to teach my 4 year old how to play. It's fun, good for a laugh, and the slow paced allows you to talk/eat/relax. But it's not boring so much after your turn because of the interest of how the next guy is gonna die. Instant replays should be slower and more dynamic than just replaying at almost the same speed and zoom as the first time.

My only problem is (and sorry if it's one of you) that these idiots hosting require you to have voice to play. I spent a half hour or more trying to join a game and kept getting kicked because I didn't respond when they talked. Just play the damn game...it doesn't require voice to enjoy or play! But it's more than annoying trying to get into a game because of it.

Got this yesterday and been loving it. Never really played any of the older versions (but was a Scorched Earth fan back in the day). I'll probably waste a lot of time with this game. :D

No baseball bat, no mole bomb, no kamikaze sheep, no old lady, no Holy Hand Grenade, no parachute, no bungee... yeah, there are a number of really fun weapons that are nowhere to be found.

That said, I played Worms all afternoon (when I was supposed to be working) and all evening until 1AM (when I was supposed to be working then sleeping). The game, at its core, is still the same incredibly fun and addictive Worms experience I've always loved.

This was my first real worms game. (I had it on my cell phone, but it was really simple)

All of a sudden the computer takes the grappling hook and starts moving all over the screen! He lands next to me, dynamites me, and I go flying in to a land mine.

I also created my own team and made them speak spanish. It cracks me up. No me gusta! Ahiiiiii....

Sadly, and I admit this, I'd probably shell out a couple more bucks for new weapons and maps. Sadly.

Worms is a great party game. Shame they took out those weapons though.

I doubt they'll charge for weapons upgrades, as it would affect the balance of gameplay on Live.

And I'm gonna have to try that spanish option. :D

I always thought the Sean Connery set was the best. I haven't bought this yet, what voices are available in the full version?

Voices are English, German (which is great if you don't understand German. Zig Heil!), 2 French versions, Spanish and Italian.

EDIT: After much playing let me say that if you don't have someone to play this game with, it can get kinda old. This is definitely an online game.

Is it possible for anyone to make a list of all the weapons that are/ are not in this version? How about weapons like the air strike, super sheep, homing pigeon, sheep launcher, banana bomb, mail strike, teleport, super banana bomb, ming vase, and Armageddon? Did any/all of these make it in?

none but air strkie and teleport kinda lame. But every place says the weapons are comming for a cost. Check gamespot.com they got the reiew up

Air strike, teleport, and banana bomb are in.

And the sheep as well! It's even an achievement!

Looks like I found the list of 22 weapons that it comes with:
Bazooka, Homing Missile, Grenade, Cluster Bomb, Banana Bomb, Dynamite, Air Strike, Shotgun, Uzi, Fire Punch, Dragon Ball,Prod, Blowtorch, Land Mine, Sheep, Kamikaze, Ninja Rope, Girder, Jet Pack, Teleport, Skip Go, Surrender.

The option to change which worm's turn it is once per game was a feature they should have left in.. also the bat is a sorely missed weapon as well.. the old lady, holy grenade etc were fun but I could live with out them as they were a bit over powered compared to other weapons.

I seriously do not get this game. i can't even sit thru the tutorial.
