This will sound crazy, but here it goes.

I have a client who just installed a video system in his house. In the master bedroom ther is an Audioplex CMX 40/56 in-ceiling IR receiver that is connect to source components in the room above. The remote works great all day, but as soon as night falls and the street lamp outside goes on, it floods the room with IR interference so badly that the remote is rendeded useless. Everything is glowing bright red and is completely blinding the IR system.

Is there anything I can do to filter out the bad light other than installing black-out blinds in the room??

Anybody? Anybody?

I did a quick search on "IR blocking window film" and quite a few links popped up that look promising.
