I have been spending the last few weeks going back and forth about what PJ to buy to replace my Sim2 300 E. It had gotten so bad I was seriously contemplating just using my 55" Fujitsu Plasma and forgetting about a PJ. But as nice as the plasma is, I don't have to tell anyone here there is no substitute for a PJ.

I have nagged Alan and Jason repeatedly. They have made suggestions and never once pushed any particular product on me. To the contrary when I raised particular PJs I was interested in and Jason could have easily sold me they explained why it might not work for me or make me happy.

Ultimately, I am getting a Sim2 HT 3000 locally (after spending hrs pouring over Sharp, Runco, C3X, etc etc ) Jason and Alan could only say--good choice and good luck.

These guys are first rate and a wealth of knowledge. If I wasn't so far away they would have been my first choice hands down. Makes me almost wish I lived up Norh. (almost)

Great idea for a thread. I should also express my thanks to Alan and Tryg. Alan was kind enough to spend some time conversing with me last year, when Sony's "Ruby" was the current obsession, and he offered sage advice, based upon my budget.

I purchased a DaLite HP screen through Tryg, based upon his enthusiastic review, and it displays the output of my Pearl to great advantage. The AVS model was an absolutely brilliant idea; a class act.

It really shows when people love what they do.

I've been a digital projector addict since 1992. I makes me more excited when someone gets a new toy, or better yet their first projector, than it does when I get a new toy :)

I wish I could see everybodys setups
