Hi all,

My friend saw a Sony Bravia LCD next to a RP Sony TV (both are Full HD), he told me that the LCD looked much much better, could the shop's lighting be the reason for that ?

Anyway, it would be Great if someone could show me a picture of an LCD (Bravia if possible) beside a good RP TV both displaying HD media.

Any help would be appreciated.

It wasn't the lighting. The Sony LCD, in my opinion will give you the most incredible picture out there. The problem with even the best flat panal LCD is that the redraw rate of the screen is not as bast as RPTV or Plasma. If you like to watch sports (football, basketball), you will be disappointed with the particles that will trail the ball, or with some breakup of the picture on fast moving scenes. If they can fix the redraw speed, . . . .

The other problem with FP LCD's is that blacks are grey, not black. Try watching a movie with a lot of dark in it and you'll be sorely disappointed.

I've got a SXRD set and there's no way in the world I'd trade it for a FP LCD set.
