is there a company that makes an all in one timebase corrector and video proc amp? or anywhere I can find the individual components cheap. I am a limitied income and we have tons of home movies (baptisms, birthday parties, etc) and with my new found free time I want to convert them to DVD.

There are DVD recorders that feature proc amps. Sorry I can't be more specific, but Redflagdeals.com mentioned a clearance model (samsung?) at Futureshop (Canada) that had this feature (and an internal scaler!) for under $200 CAD recently.

Hope that helps.

The Canopus ADVC-300 does bi-directional analog/DV conversion, has a time-base corrector, and a video processing amplifier built-in. SignVideo makes a more sophisticated stand-alone video processing amplifier, the PA-100.
