Total sales percentages from DVD empire including March 2007:

Year: BLURAY 58.59%
HDDVD 41.41%

Even though DVDempire is a more obscure outlet, looks like Blu-ray is clearly oustelling HD-DVD there as well. Hope this clears up any confusion about sales this year at DVD empire. :)

Hmm, but yet another thread has pointed out that HD DVD has been leading Bluray so far in March, so does that mean the Bluray "post Christmas" surge has ended?

oh hell ... so lets have another round ..

.... you forgot to include the HD DVD vs BD release for the period. Also the fact that there are >2,000,000 mil 'BD players' in the USA vs HD DVD's mere <>0.2m figure. As the sales percentage difference is merely 18% ? What went wrong!! ;)

not much difference actually, exclusive BD backers were promised that PS3 woul defeat HD DVD once and for all, yet the reality, PS3 ONLY managed to help BD movie sales to be on par with HD DVD. I wonder how it would be without PS3. No war? :)

someone forgot to tell buyers because they've been scooping up blu-ray titles like crazy at amazon.com...if amazon.com is included in videoscan numbers we might get to 70% blu-ray (2.5:1) as of mid-march.

of course, with casino royale out mid-march, it could be 75% (3:1 ratio) Blu-ray by early april.

Didn't you read his signature? HD DVD is outselling BD by 55/45. Gotta love Orwell.
