Would anybody know whether or not the IR blaster cables included with the Harmony 890 RF extender are extendable? I have a HD cable box and the projector that would be located approx. 25ft away from the RF extender.
Would you just splice in some more wiring (Cat 5e) or buy some type of cable extender from Radio Shack?

I was told the if you splice and attach CAT5 cable it will work.
I used this solution for the eye, but not for the blasters.

If memory serves, you can just use a mini stereo audio extender cable. Try Radio Shack.
No Problem. My ceiling mounted projector is about 50 feet ( by cable route) from the RF Receiver for the H890; I used one pair 22 gauge cable and it works just fine. Just cut the 2 wire cable that goes from the jack to the stick-on emitter and insert as much 22 gauge paired wire as your need. I did pay attention to polarity but I do not know if that matters. Anyway, I use RF to control my projector using an IR emitter stuck to its receiver eye and the cable length is approaching 50 feet.

Guys,
Thanks for the info. I have a TON on Cat 5e cable left over from wiring the house. I guess I'm going to use that.
Again, thanks everyone!!! Gotta love AVS!!!!
