Like the title suggests;

Does a 5 or 4 X1 HDMI switcher that will "pass through" both 480i and 1080p exist?

Neither my NAD M15 or my Monoprice 5X1 switcher seems to allow the pass through of 480i via HDMI which is a must for my situation. (Pio 59AVi @ 480i to Mits HC5000 is exceptional with SD-DVD's.) And since I plan to get a 1080p output device soon I'll need that capability soon.

if it's a proper HDMI switch, it will pass through everything including 480i).

I use a Radiance Select-4 that passes both. I use 480i for some scifi channel shows from my HR10-250 and it definately passes 1080p.

Thanks guys,
I figured it out. I assumed the Monoprice didn't but it in fact does.

What caused the assumption was that I couldn't enter the HDMI menu in my 59AVi to set the resolution when routed through the switch.

I hooked up the 59 direct to the PJ and set it to output 480i via HDMI and then re-routed it through the switch and the PJ then showed 480i as the input resolution, so all is well.
