My Pronto is getting old and ragged, I wonder how long it will last anymore. I thought about getting another Pronto, but I've decided the form was cumbersome and awkward to hold, I find myself using the Tivo remote to navigate it instead of the Pronto for speed. And since the Harmony remotes use the same form factor as the Tivo remote, I think I want one.

My question is, the ones I've seen only seem to have standardized buttons for players. What about when I want to program the buttons for my surround reciever, and there's dozens of different functions, like sources and surround modes. Moreover, would I need to go into the reciever section to switch sources? With the Pronto, I just put in a 'switch' button in the individual device templates. Do the Harmony remotes offer that level of flexibility?

I've been looking at the Harmony 890, which can be had for around $220. It has RF capabilities which I would very much like(No more aiming the remote). I've read a lot of mixed reviews, on every remote really, so it's hard to go by that. But is the 890 reliable? Also I've heard good things about the Home Theater Master MX-600, which would be much cheaper. Any opinions on that one?
