I mostly do watching cable TV, watching DVD's, but most important play Video games (xbox360, game cube, etc)

My budget cant go over $1000, but the TV has to be bought at CC due to warranty issues.

Out of all the TV's I've looked this is probably the biggest screen I have found that does recieve mostly positive ratings in the CC website.

Also this is a TV for my room, my bed is about 3 feet from where the TV will be.

Here's something from CNET for you to check out. Read the "User Opinions" as the first one seems to have a similar situation as yours.

Consumer Reports rated that set last among microdisplay rptvs. Although I don't normally put too much weight on their HT recommendations I have to agree with them on the VS69 series Hitachi lcd rptvs. I work in the electronics dept. of a Sears store and am a long time HT enthusiast. The VS69 has a lousy contrast ratio and mediocre video processing (excessive picture "noise". If you have an absolute limit of 1k go with the 51F59 crt based set. I know the latter looks nasty in the store but take my word for it that at home with proper adjustment it will blow away the VS69.

If you can throw in a few hundred bucks get one of the Sony E2000 series lcd rptvs.
