Looks excellent, but then again I'm an aviation nut..

This only seems to be sold through a few aviation-related channels, so I havn't seen any mention of it here yet & it hasn't shown up on any of the "release lists" I've seen.

It's the 1st independant HD-DVD & 1st Documentary on HD-DVD

Anybody have it yet?

There's a lot of threads on it, but the name's got short words which don't work in the search here... yes, lots of people have it (myself too), and yeah, the PQ is EXCELLENT, it's got that super-sharp DV-style to it.

It's pretty heart-grabbing to watch too!

amazon.com has it for order as well, I got my dad a copy from there.

I was wondering why it didn't show up in search.. I guess I probably won't be the last to make this mistake then :)

I'm probably going to check out this title. I may rent it first to see if it's a keeper.

I just received this disc from Amazon today. Using the search engine on AVS returned nothing on the title. But because of the SD reviews, the subject matter and the reduced price I went ahead with the blind-buy. It'll be the first MPEG2 HD DVD I have viewed, which is interesting. I'll comment on it here after watching.

Excellent HD DVD about the history behind the Van Nuys Airport. There's a little political "save the airports" theme, but, overall, an excellent documentary. The PQ is high "tier 1" and two of the features are also in 1080P -- which provide some short demos for you to show.

Overall: Excellent HD DVD. Highly recommended.

Saw it on HD Cable. If you like aviation you will like it. I was stationed out at Van Nuys ANG in the 1970's when they had the C130's.

Go ahead and buy it, you will not be sorry for this purchase. I have a copy in HD and use it as a demo.
