I have an Octava 3 x 2 HDMI IR remote controlled switcher and a Harmony 890 remote, and I wanted to see if any experts here knew how to integrate the switcher into my system.
Logitech doesn't seem to have this model in their database, does anyone know of a way to work around this?
It would be really nice to not have to use a second remote when I want to change activities.
Thanks for the help
easiest way i can think of would be to learn a new command on an existing device.
and once you learn the commands you want, you can re-run the wizard for the activity and then tell it to send a new command at the end of the sequence. the harmony doesn't have to treat the switcher as its own device, just a few commands on an existing device. probably the tv would make the most sense. in fact, you could change the input select commands to learn the switcher commands since you probably are not switching the tv.

Humara,
Thanks for your reply. I'm not very well-versed in some of the more advanced features of the Harmony remote, I just know how to set up the remote for the basic commands.
How exactly do you add device commands like you described? If you can pretend you're talking to a 4 year old, that would help. :)
Thanks again for the help!
