I've been a fan of the previous two, with Def Jam New York being one of my favorite PS2 games. I figured Icon would be just as good, not so far. The game play compared to the the New York game is very blocky and slow. The graphics are nice but nothing jaw dropping. In New York game, blod is splattering everywhere and the damage done is very apparent, in Icon, you notice it but not as noticeable. I've only played a couple of hours, so I'll give it a fe wmore hours before I give an overall impression. I just know that when I first played the New York game, I didn't stop until I threw Snoop out the window seven days later, I don't have that same feeling with this game as of yet.

:D I too would like to hear from anyone that has played the PS3 version. I've got it coming via gamefly so I'll post once I get some time in with it. One immediate drawback I see is the fact you can't use your own music like the 360 version. An interactive fight with Yanni blaring in the background would pretty much own.

From reviews the custom music featre doesn't work as wlel as teh actual tracklist anyway. However having the option always better. The best music to test it would be APHEX TWIN in my opinion.

I am starting to hate this game, I played through the build your label mode on Meduim the first time and got through it in a day or so and really enjoyed it, so I decided to go it again on hard and the issues rose their head there. The fighting system proves to be an absoulte mess on Hard, and the computer is just cheap beyond hell. many a time I would strike a foe to just get stuck in a combo even though I knocked him back. And the use of the analog stick for moves and throws is just poorly implemeted, and just seems to much of and workout to get to working in an effective manner at all. And the game gives more precendent to the computer than it should, there were times I attempted to throw the foe and saw clearly that my animation started first yet he still threw me some how. Just total crap, VF5 this is not.
