Hi all,
Dug through the FAQ thread and saw that some have successfully used the 880 with the DISH VIP 622 DVR. I am having a couple of issues getting it to work.
I can get the TV, A/V, and Satellite box all on (but only by leaving the satellite box on). I can then use the 880 for sound and to access the guide on DISH. Problem is I cannot for the life of me select something within the guide (which I figure either the OK or Enter button on the 880 should use), or get the guide to turn off once I access it (unless I just wait it out).
Surely there must be way to get more of the funtionality from the DISH remote to the 880? When I go through the troubleshooting menu it gets to a point where it says the 880 cannot learn from my DISH remote.
Any suggestions? (Oh, also, if anyone has figured out a way to get the 880 to actually turn on the satellite so I don't have to always leave it on, that would be great too!)
The 5.3 IR is the remote that came with the DISH DVR. Thanks greatly in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
