I just got this projector from proj/peop and it came with a free dvd player. So just to check things out I hooked the dvd player up to the z5 via hdmi and have a real tough time being able to read the z5 menu. No matter what I do to this unit I can not get a sharp picture out of it. Am I missing something? What could I be doing wrong? If it is this blurry with dvd how can I even think of seeing standard tv on this ? I would need glasses to purposely mess up my vision in order to correct this problem. Please help as I said a newbie here, so I am hoping its all on my end!

You need to focus the projector. It is the ring around the projector lens (don't touch the lens itself, just the ring). Start from there and then follow the remaining directions in the manual.

That was my issue! You know I had changed settings in the menu and I was under the impression in this day and age the focus was done in the menu and not on the ring. I knew it must have been something simple, now it looks great just some fine tuning and I am good to go, thanks!!!!!!!

I had the same issue when I got my projector back in december. I expected focus to be a menu option but the menu was horribly blurry.
Only took me a few hours to figure out my mistake
