This has been asked a couple of times in the big threads but no-one seems to have evaluated it and I've not seen it in the reviews. They all mention that the unit has the shift capability but not what effect it has :
How does the image look when close to the maximum shift?
Any distortion or significant light loss?
Anything more apparent in the MC?
I'm thinking mounting mine off center by almost the max 34%, or as close to that when the lens is about 12" above the top of the screen (100" 16:9 diagonal) This could put it at the absolute max of the shift capability
My only experience is with 35mm camera shift lenses where the distortion and CA go up and light intensity falls off as you approach the limits. Perhaps the JVC lens is superb enough that these are not issues?
I'd be very appreciative of any experience gained so far (or pointers to posts where it was addressed and I missed it)
Thanks
Andy
