I cant fig. this out...its probably so simple I am overlooking something...any help appreciated.

I had the 360 with the VGA cable running on a CRT PC monitor...all fine.
I am trying to hook it up to a new Sony XBR2 LCD.
I hooked the VGA cable up and I get a "Resolution not supported by the TV" on the display.

How do I change the VGA setting ?
I tried to go into the dash, but only see settings for the component (720.....), NO.....1366 * some #

thanx for any help...
Maybe I have to rehook it up to the CRT monitor and the settings will appear ?

the setting are based on what you have connected, if component cables connect you only see setting for it, if vga connected you only see those settings, go back to the old setup and lower the resolution to the lcd settings

prob 1366*768, but you might as well pick a lower res so that you can actually see a display range and pick the right one when hooked up to the sony.

If you have this problem in the future, while the console is booting press and hold Y and pull the right trigger, and it will reset the display settings to default. Then you can go in and set it to something the display can handle.
