hey guys...i got my ps3 hooked up to my surround sound system via optical.

however, i am still only getting pro logic out of the receiver, which is a yamaha. i believed that when i first watched a movie i was getting dolby digital, but now for some reason i am just getting pro logic. thanks for any help.

I don't know about how to adjust your receiver, but your PS3 has audio options that you need to mess around with if you have not already. You should be able to find it in the xmb.

The yamaha may need to be set to optical as well. And sometimes receivers have an option to automatically detect what kind of signal it is being fed and it will do the rest.
