View Full Version : Infocus 7210 - won't turn on again after use

I have an Infocus 7210 with only 100-200 hours. We use it only about every other weekend for a movie and consider it a real treat.

3 uses ago I could not get it to power up and the manual suggested unplugging it for a minute and then plugging it in again. This has persisted on every use. Once it powers down I cannot get it to power back up without unplugging it. The extended warranty I have is up in 2 months and I am considering sending it in though I would prefer to not have to. Anything I could do? Is this a known defect?

Thanks,
Tom

Try reseating the lamp.

Wow .. thanks!
This seemed to work. Wonder why? It was able to power up and off and up again off the remote without a problem. I'll try again later to be sure. Maybe saved some time and $ sending it in.

Lamps can become unseated. It is most common during transport and such, but occassionally the heating/cooling of normal use can cause this to happen.

Sometimes the gas in the lamp settles and needs "mixing". Turning the lamp back and forth gently will help also.
