Is there any difference between the JVC DLA-RS1 and DLA-HD1? On the JVC website I only see the DLA-HD1 listed, yet here on avs it's mostly posts about the RS1.

Are these the same model projector, if not what are the salient differences between the two?

They are the same unit and only differ in the color of the unit

That appears true for the US but in other parts of the word the HD1 is sold and supported by both JVC professional and consumer. In the UK the HD1 is offered with a 3 year general warranty plus 1 year (1000 hrs ) bulb warranty by the consumer division.

The RS1 appears to be a US only model.

Yes the RS1 is the Pro version for the US. The HD1 is the consumer unit for the US, and the only unit for the rest of the world. Color is the only real difference other than support (as someone else mentioned).
