Hi all, im looking to install rope lighting in my new HT hooked up to a wireless lamp dimmer that I can control by remote, ive looked everywhere and cant seem to find it any store, does anyone have any ideas if that sort of thing is available in canada, if so where?

I use them and control it with the Lutron remote as well as my Sony and Harmony remotes.

thanks for the link ive seen those but its not what im looking for im looking to plug in my rope lights in to a dimmer box that plugs into the wall which is then controlled by remote. Im in calgary

Build a small wooden box. Insert two electrical box. Put a Lutron dimmer into the first electrical box, and an electrical outlet in the second box. Buy an electrical cord and connect it to the dimmer, then the dimmer output to the electrical outlet.

You will have a dimmer box controlled by remote.

You will be able to plug whatever you like into it.

It should be. Use standard electrical boxes and outlets, and check the electrical cord for capacity. Buy 15amp compatible wires.

My simple drawing don't include ground connecting, but you have to connect those ground wires together.
