Why would they be remastered or re-encoded? This only came out six months ago, no?

They weren't released outside the box so I'd guess they're just a standalone release outside it.

it's pitty because the last two versions, they are not a reference..
so just hope that they could do better!

Actually, the very same could be said about your writing skills.

I loathe M:I:2. I'd rather wait and get the standalone M:I.

Ditto except reversed.
I would own the boxset if i didn't hate part 1 so much.

LOL. I thought part 2 was pretty good, especially the action sequence, and directed by John Woo! Haven't seen 1 and 3 yet.

Wow, I am totally the opposite, part one is the greatest in the series, then part three and last and least part two, which was horrible. :(

True, MI2 just sucked, way to much flash.

Agreed. The second film had a very different feel to it and didn't seem like a Mission Impossible film. I still believe the third film was too action oriented.

Ok, just finished watching 1(for the first time) and 2 (again). I guess Cruise doesn't know what direction he wants this series to be. Part 1 is a thriller/suspense with a little bit of action sequence, and part 2 was an action flick with little story.
People complained part 1 had too much plots to confuse the hell out of viewers(I agree).
Part 2 dumbed down the story, hired John Woo , and became an action flick. Part 2 was a bit over stylized, seeing Woo carrying some of his fighting scenes and double-gun blazing style from his Hong Kong flicks over to Hollywood. But then you are watching a movie and not a tv show, so I enjoyed the flashiness of part 2 that many of you complaint about. I may be in the minority here, but I prefer part 2 over 1.
Also, why did Emilio Estevez get uncredited as Jack Harmon in part 1 and Anthony Hopkins in part 2?

Half directed by John Woo, Cruise couldn't keep his paws out of it. If all you want is action get the last two, if you want Mission Impossible, just get the first.
