Does anyone know if this series will be coming to the PS3? I can't really find much on the web.

buy motorstorm. that's offroad fury for the ps3...

I own motorstorm and I do like it, but I really miss the ATV engine and being able to do tricks whilst in the air. I loved the ATV physics and gameplay.

i believe the chances of sony investing money in developing an atv game for the ps3 in light of the success of motorstorm is remote at best...

anyway i haven't heard of anything

Well Sony wouldn't have to invest anything since Rainbow Studios is the one that developed the first ATV games for the PS2.

Have you even played the ATV Offroad Fury series for the PS2?

yeah but they own and publish it, so the investment is quite large. i have played it on ps2 and more recently on psp. good games.

oh, and climax develops the game now and has done so since atv 2. sony dumped rainbow studios a while ago

I thought that THQ bought out Rainbow Studios which is whhy they started to combine the MX and ATV series of games.

Anywho, while Motorstorm is sweet, the two games are vastly different. You can't perform tricks in motorstorm, there is no free-ride mode, it doesn't measure your longest jumps etc. I guess I will just have to play my PS2 versions if I want my ATV fix. I'm sure they will release one eventually as it was such a popular series.

Funny you should bring this up. I was playing motorstorm yesterday riding the dirt bike, Hit a jump and got some big air. And started hitting the Square and circle buttons...like I would if I were play ATV... Gave myself a chuckle at that. The racing in motorstorm, gets to be dull after you learn the tracks.. Need something to keep me entertained..
