Since I built my HT system back in Oct 2004 I have been running component from my Denon 5900 DVD player and my HD Sat Receiver to my Sim2 HT 300e link.

I am now getting a Toshiba HDXA2 and a Blu-ray (haven't decided on the brand yet) next week. Since my Sim2 pj is 720p would it be beneficial at all to switch to HMDI for my high-def players and sat receiver?

Maybe I should sell my Sim2 and get a Optima 1080P projector?

How far back do you sit?

What's yr screen size?

If the ratio is > 1.5:1, the Sim2 would probably be enough.

Closer than that, you would probably see the increased resolution of a 1080p.

HDMI gives you the option of outputting in 1080p (hopefully 1080p24 to minimize 3:2 pulldown judder). Not sure if yr SIM2 allows that today.

I'm positive the 3003 Link has an HDMI input, so all you need is a HDMI switcher and you can send multiple HDMI outs to your Sim2 projector.

If you have a HT300E Link, you are running fiber to the projector from the DOIP box. The DOIP box has HDMI input, so you should be all set. If you need more than 1 HDMI (which it sounds like), you can simply put a HDMI switch before that.
