Remember that this is AVS and not Cheap@ssgamer...

For those of you with 720p game issues, there is a product you might want to be paying attention to in the next few days/weeks. It has been delayed off and on, but finally looks to be shipping and reviewers seem to be expecting units in the next few days. I dont recommend anyone order until the reviews are in.

Here is the AVS thread in the Video Processor forum on the product:

As you are reading the thread, remember this is AVS. There is some dissapointment in the thread about how this particular scaler wont outperform $3k scalers, but with 3 options in the $350-$500 range, this would look like the perfect home scaler for someone who doesnt need super projector enthusiast quality. Seems to be (on spec alone) a definite solution for those who have displays which cannot support 720p.

I firmly believe Sony should find a way to make scaling possible in the PS3. But this is a solution for a lot more than just the PS3, also. Comparing the cost of the scaler to a new tv, seems to be a decent product, on spec alone.

The 720p issue does not affect me personally at all, just wanted to make those aware who are affected. Just something to pay attention to in the next days/weeks.
