Hi.

Have started planning my HT and will need an IR repeater system (receiver, emitter, etc) and was wondering what brand you would recommend(or not recommend). Also, where do you have your receiver located? I see some have a receiver in a Jbox & some are small little targets that I assume can go in a hole in the drywall. Also, what do you control with your repeater?

I used a Buffalo IR Receiver Eye with a Xantech connecting block and emitters. I went with the Xantech unit becuase I wanted the extra outputs. (I believe the Buffalo one only had 4 outputs) I have a false wall at the front of my room, and I just drilled a 1/2 hole through one of the 2x2s and mounted the receiver in the hole. Its hidden behind my black GOM and works great. The connecting block is in my equipment closet and I just used simple cat5 cable to connect it to the receiver.

Here are a couple places that have the IR-350
