hello, i recently purchased a cinenova grande 7.

my problem is that my receiver (pioneer elite vsx-49tx) does not have a dedicated 12volt trigger however it does have a sr in/out to control other pioneer components, and it also has a switched outlet.

what are the power requirements of this trigger(12v constant or pulsed power? how many mA?) i was thinking of getting a 12v adapter hooked up to the switched outlet and the 12v trigger. or is there any other solutions for me? like connecting it to the sr out?

thanks

i got the problem solved. i bought a 12v 300mA adapter and connected it to the switched outlet on the 49tx. it works fine but was wonering if i should use a smaller mA adapter or is this one fine?

You should be fine. You usually have to worry about the power supply. The 12v adapter just has to supply up to 300 mA of power. As long as the load is under 300 mA, then you are fine. If the load were over 300 mA, then you could burn up the 12v adapter.
