Effective Thursday, March 15th, Engineering plans to spool a PARTIAL PHASE of software version L4.01 for the ViP622DVR receiver. This is primarily a non-forced maintenance release available at ALL satellite locations.


At this time L3.66 and L4.01 will be the valid software versions for the ViP 622 DVR.

I have the L3.66 now, will the L4.01 be automatically updated for every 622 or is it just random.

Yes, when it is official, yours will automatically update.

they delayed the update again, one can only hope they don't take another 3 months again. they are suppost to roll the update to a certain number of receivers first and see if any problems occur, if nothing goes bad then they will release the update to everyone else.

I now have version L4.03 for my 622 Software Version for about 2-3 days now!!
