I am looking at these 2 seating groups and would like some opinions from people who have sat in both. I really like the Berkline group, but from what Power has said, the Studio Collection are HT Authorities best sellers. How do they compare? My biggest concern is the leather of the Studio Collection. I have sat in the Berkline's and really like them, but the Studio Collection is more within my budget. I have also sat in some budget theater seats and didn't like the stiff vinyl feel. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

dachavez,

I believe, the size of Studio Collection is closer to the 090s and not 091s. The 091 are 44.5" tall, and unless you are 6'4" or taller will block your surround sound.

I appreciate the information, but I was hoping to find out about the material the Studio Collection is made of. How does the material compare between the Coaster seats and the Berklines (whatever model that may be)?

I would talk to Serge at HT Authority. He deals with both brands.

The leather on the Studio chairs are really just your average run of the mill top grain leathers. Nothing spectacular, but certainly not junk. In my opinion, you get a lot more than what you pay for in regards to the leather.

For posterity...I ordered the Berkline 091 group in 7077-29 Black leather from group 2. I figured I would be happy paying more for them and know I got what I wanted, rather than buy seats I had never seen and have the possibility of being disappointed. What I don't know won't hurt me, right? I don't think I will regret buying these seats and I can't wait to get them in.
