I have been programming my MX3000 for several days now and I now realize I need to add the proper setting for audio in the macro.
Can anyone help me understand what settings work best for:
XBOX, PS3, TIVO SERIES 3?

I own a SR8200 MARANTZ, KDSR70XBR2 SONY, XBOX, PS3, and TIVO SERIES 3.
I now have them set at THX but do I need to add "hall" "movie" "cathedral" etc?
It seems like my macros just keep getting bigger and bigger. I am probably doing things ass backwards but it DOES WORK.
Any input is appreciated!!

I'm not a fan of those processing modes, but the Marantz should have discrete audio settings that will let you go directly to those modes. I'm pretty sure that my SR-7400 has those discrete codes.

I would check the remotecentral forum and see if someone there can help you. If I had to choose the best audio mode for your devices, I would use these settings.

XBOX: Auto
- The Xbox should be able to send Dolby Digital over optical for almost all of its games.

PS3: Auto
- The PS3 should be able to send Dolby Digital over optical or PCM for HDMI.

TIVO SERIES 3: Dolby Pro Logic IIx Movie
- The Tivo should have able apply surround to a stereo signal for normal TV and Dolby Digital for HDTV.
