I just bought a Gretag-MacBeth Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter. I calibrated the monitor, and everything works perfectly except in games, where I seem to loose the calibration. After I exit the game, everything returns to normal. I contacted Gretag-MacBeth, and they said that the videocard was resetting the LUT temporarily while in-game. Is there any way to keep this from happening?

You'd have to consult the manual for your video card.

you need to do your monitor calibration with patterns displayed under VMR9.... you can use a test DVD such as GetGrey with a DVD player such as MCE2005 or Theatertek2 or Zoomplayer set for VMR9 output... when your game loads and runs full screen, it uses VMR9 Full Screen Exclusive mode....

I have the same problem . I've yet to find a game that doesn't spit out the LUT. Can't seem to find any way to use profiling that will stick for Games or VMR9 type viewing applications.

VMR9 addresses a separate set of settings then the video display LUT which has been built for desktop overlays. None of the desktop profiling applications address this issue so you are essentially SOL.

Not so ICC profiles do not apply to video overlay , possibly why none of us have even mentioned overlay. ICC profiles work quite happily with opengl based imaging apps I use. I've also heard of people getting them to stick with Theatertek in VMR mode. No one expects them to stick with overlay.
