I am using an htpc but am making the switch to a video processor. I need a non-SDI dvd player. My wish-list:
- able to send an unprocessed signal over dvi or hdmi (so as to let the VP do all the deinterlacing/scaling work)
- excellent MPEG decoder
- fast and responsive. I have a sony player which takes close to 10 seconds to eject its tray, and longer to start playing. Drives me nuts...
The rest would be nice, but is not necessary;
- able to skip the normally non-skippable stuff, fbi warnings etc (the htpc spoiled me that way :))
- remembers position on a per-disc basis
That's all I can think of for now - and yes fries with that would be nice :D
Any suggestions?
