I've been having lots of FW problems (the G4s are notorious for it), and wondered if I could go one more step. Using a isolating FW cable (http://fwdepot.com/thestore/product_info.php/products_id/356) to further help in my troubleshooting. But, I'd no longer have 'bus' power so I'd need to use an AC adapter. So, Does anyone at least know the specs so I can find something to work? The docs say 12V adapter (sold separately), but, usually it's best to know an amperage. Need to give elgato a buzz too.

Thanks, just up the street, and I think I've got their latest catalog in the mail last month. But, 20 bucks, hmm, and will need two for my tuners.

Well, if you are perhaps a little "handy", you should be able to get this much cheaper. You only need to buy a regular power supply that meets these requirements or better: 120V 60Hz 12VDC 2000mA. If you buy it in the US, all power supplies are probably 120V/60Hz. So you only need to see that it outputs 12vdc at 2000mA or more.
Depending on the connector on the EyeTV, you may need to solder a new connector.
However, if you are lucky, the adapter might work right out from the box.
