I own an Intellivision and I was wondering if there was a way to connect it to play on my HDTV. I don't see how it could be done with one of these.

Is there a way to hook old game consoles to an HDTV?

If your TV has a coaxial input and an NTSC tuner, you can use an RF to coax adapter plug. They're only a few bucks and you can get them at Radio Shack. For more information:

Just remember to tune your station to channel 3 or 4 ;).

You might also want a signal booster. On all my newer TVs, the Atari causes the TV to go to a "blue" screen indicating that it can't read a signal. The signal coming out of the 2600 is pretty weak so the newer TVs tend to filter it out.

Theres also a mod somewhere online that you can add composite outputs on a 2600

There are several ways to get s-video or composite out of a Atari 2600.

Or you can buy a new switchbox, they all have a coaxial out now over the past 10-15 years( http://i24.ebayimg.com/01/i/05/cc/0f/3e_1.JPG ). Or you could buy a Coaxial (F-Type) to Female RCA Adapter and plug the 2600 directly into it like already pictured. Or you could use that old switchbox with a converter that converts the antenna screws to a coaxial output (Called a 300-ohm matched pair to 75-ohm F-Connector transformer I believe).

I suggest modding it for composite or s-video.

Edit - And I see I just repeated what was already said in that link, I thought he linked you to the AtariAge store to this page.
