I've got a head-scratcher.
My iPod is a 5th gen, 30gb video. I read that you can take an a/v cable (3.5mm to rca) and hook up the iPod to the tv. I also read that the rca connections are switched (non-apple a/v cable).
I have the ipod video set to "ask" (video out), and the red rca plugged into the yellow input on the tv. My old tv only has two inputs (yellow and white).
I get audio through the tv from the ipod, but still cannot get video.
Do I have to have the 3-rca inputs on the tv? Or is it possibly a problem playing an iTunes purchased movie?
Any thoughts and suggestions very welcome.

Thank you!

The iPod will only output video if you have TV "On" in the menu.
