I am having frequent troubles with audio lag on TNT-HD as well as our local NBC affiliate KARE-DT. I've read somewhere that this may be due to certain channels running higher than typical audio bitrates (DD 384kbps) and my audio system may be taking more time to process this signal. Is this correct? Is this then a problem with my receiver or my STB (Dish ViP622)?

TNT has issues with audio lag (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=815243) on all systems, not just yours.

I'm aware of all the reports about TNT. Anyone know their bitrate for DD audio?

Anyone know if TNT has a different audio bitrate than other stations?

TNTHD uses 448k audio, like Fox. Everyone else uses 384k. Some ABC/CBS/CW/NBC affiliates use non-standard settings in their Dolby encoders and might be running at 448k.

Thanks for the info. So if I don't see any issues with FOX but I do on TNT that tells me it is a station problem.
