Hi everyone,

I have my pchdtv set up and working outside myth and I started getting it to work within mythtv, but I'm having some problems with the channel lineups, as well as sound problems when switching from digital to analog channels.

My set up is:

FC6 with mythtv 0.20
pchdtv hd-5500 with the newest drivers compiled from linuxtv
2 PVR 500s
I have 1 backend and 1 frontend

I set up 2 channel lineups in zap2it, one for my basic cable and one for local channels. When I set up the card in mythtv, I point DVB0: to my local lineup and television to my basic cable channel lineup. The local lineup should contain the local HD channels, so I scan using QAM256 and get some channels. The basic cable lineup is then scanned using the analog portion of the card.

Scanning with QAM256 picks up channels that are not in my local or basic cable lineup, so I don't know what they are and ho to get the program listings? And also, I checked the line up for digital cable (even though I don't have it), but that one didn't have the channels there either. I wish, the program listings in zap2it included the unencrypted cable channels. (the unrecognized channels are: 117#0, 92#0-92#5, 91#0-91#5, 90#0-94#8, 116#0-116#2, 111#1, 105#0-105#1, 104#6, 90#0-90#6, etc.) Anyways, any suggestions on this matter?

Secondly, this is a bigger problem: When I watch a digital channel and switch to an analog one, I get no sound. I searched around and found out, that I needed to switch the audio output to /dev/dsp1 and the sampling rate to 48000. That gave me very bad sound, though. It sounds like bad quality mp3s. Moreover, after changing to a analog channel, the channel is now very choppy, like if I didn't have enough of computing power or graphics car. Please, any suggestions on this?

And finally, it seems that when I switch from digital to analog channel as described above, and exit out from liveTV mode and want to come back to LiveTV, the digital tuner seems to be locked out and I can't tune in any digital channel anymore.
Any help on this would also be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I'm getting closer thanks to everybody's help!

Thanks,

Tom
