I have a MX-500. On the main menu I have a device on the Right Side that I would like to move to the Left Side. Is there a way to move the button over (and all the buttons in the menu below)?

I know I can just create the button on the other side, but then I'd have to remake all the controls under it (which are all learned and custom labels.

Unfortunately, that's the only way to do it.

It was actually for this reason, plus ease of programming discrete codes, that I decided to buy my new MX-700 from surfremotecontrol.com last week. Not that it would be impossible with the MX-500, but - as much as I really like this remote - the MX-700 programmability will make it easier to experiment with different combinations of menus until we can settle on something for the whole household.

Oh well - I'll just live with it for now. I've had the remote for a few years, and the light button is getting "sticky". Additionally the whole remote has "locked up" a couple times recently. Soooo I might be in the market for a new remote soon anyway.
