Welldun,

Thank you so much for the questions. Unfortunately, I am in a docotors office getting my wife a MRI at the moment, but one of the guys at the office should get your questions taken care of. If not, I will get it taken care of as soon as I get back to work. Thanks!

I just wanted to drop in a word of recommendation for Kyle and the Carolna Furniture Group.

I bought a set of home theater seats from them in August of last year. The seats were as described and were shipped quickly even though I had a unique shipping challenge. They arrived on the day promised.

Kyle has also helped with some other issues I had. I recommended him to a friend who bought a set of 4 chairs and has also been very happy.

If you have a chance, give Kyle a chance to earn your business. I am a very satisfied customer.

I see that you are in Texas. Frisco, correct? This is convenient for me as I would like to view some of the chairs you sell before I buy. I am interested in the Coaster Director and Executive lines. I will be purchase 7 chairs total (row of 3 and row of 4) for my dedicated HT when we close on the new house at the end of the month. I would love to come out and take a look. Will I be able to get the prices on the powerbuy? I would assume that I could save some delivery fees by picking up the chairs myself. I'll have a moving truck for when we move and I could save some cost by picking up the chairs myself! Would make this VERY convenient.

Thanks!

dannyz,

I'm sorry, but we don't currently have a showroom that is open to the public. However, I'm sure we could work something out for you. Plus, we do offer a money-back guarantee on your satisfaction.

Also, you are certainly welcome to pick up the chairs to save the shipping costs. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any further questions or concerns.

Kyle,
In your descriptions some of the chairs are listed as 100% leather and others as leather match. What's the difference? Also, do you have any power-buy prices for buttkicker LFE's? I already have an amp and 1 LFE and would be looking to get 1 or 2 additional LFE's if I purchased chairs.
thanks,
Murray

You also said you preferred the studio and director over the showtime due to your excessive height -- how tall are you?

mccabekyle
03-22-07, 06:36 PM
Murray,

Thanks so much for your inquiries. The differences between the 100% leather chairs and the leather/vinyl combos is pretty simple - The 100% leather chairs are upholstered with nothing but leather, whereas the leather/vinyl combinations have leather throughout the seating surfaces and arms, but the outside backs and outside arms will be a matching high-quality vinyl.

I returned your email regarding the pricing information on ButtKickers, so please refer to that for pricing on non-Coaster goods. Also, in regards to my "excessive height", I probably should have said "taller than average" since I'm about 6'2" with a tall torso. Maybe "excessive" was stretching it a little bit. I'm definitely not like the NBA guys! ;)

Kyle,

I'm glad to see that you are having a power buy. Unfortunately, most of the problems I had with my order have been resolved but the incorrect chairs that were shipped still have not been picked up. We are tired of storing them and feel we have been more than patient in this matter.

Please let me know so we can have someone help us get them ready. You have my numbers and contact information.

Thanks,

Todd,

Thanks for asking. Just as we replaced your whole units, we will pick them up as soon as possible. As Dale (our Shipping Manager) explained to your wife, we are only waiting on a Return Authorization from Berkline, which according to Berkline, should arrive any day now (they were mailed out over the weekend).

At any rate, I hope you are enjoying the chairs that we replaced for you. If you need anything else, you are always welcome to call or email.

Thanks,

We do indeed ship to Canada. However, it's a slightly different procedure than normal, and it does cost more and take a little bit longer. Please call or email for further information regarding international shipments.

Kyle,

I sent an inquiry through your site for all inclusive pricing and some measurements a few days ago and haven't got a response.

I was wondering what the 4 seat sectional in Micro fiber would cost shipped to Edmonton, AB T6X 1M4 including any brokerage fees. You can PM me if need be.

My first sizing question was if the rear can be placed flush against a wall or if the recliners need more space then the then just what the curve gives them?

My other question is what is the distance of the furthest point from the back to the front when the seats are fully reclined?

One more thing, is it easy to mount butt-kickers in this sectional?

Thanks for the help,

Shaun

Shaun, I'm terribly sorry that you have not received a response! In fact, I'm somewhat baffled?!? Did you do it through our contact form, or through a direct email to sales@carolinafurnituregroup.com?

Please PM me your email address and the day you sent it. I suppose it's possible that I could have missed it, but that's highly unlikely!

Kyle,

You did not replace my chairs, you finally got the order correct. Only after numerous unreturned phone calls and emails. And your company spent many weeks trying to get me to take two armless chairs that I didn't order and could not fit in my room. Furthurmore, we finally only received the cup holders after you were instructed to take the charge off my credit card wich was several months after the first chair delivery. I opened my mail this morning and have now received a $35 delivery charge from your shipper for an inside delivery. Since it was curbside delivery and the items were delivered to the curb, what am I supposed to do about this bill that has been sent to me?

Todd,

We made good on the order, and delivered exactly what you purchased. I'm sorry about the fact that BERKLINE sent the wrong merchandise to begin with. We have done everything in our power to make sure that your order got straightened out. We did everything we promised we would do from the very start.

Now, I believe it would be prudent of you to communicate with me via private means instead of boogering up our Power Buy thread with things that are irrelevant to this particular sale.

Thanks,

Todd,

I suppose I just meant that it would be better for all parties to handle this matter privately. When matters like this are made public, it gives people the impression that this is an everyday occurance with our company, and will make us look bad - All because the manufacturer made a mistake that was beyond our control.

I tried calling both of your numbers, but received no answer, so I did send you an email. Thanks!

Kyle McCabeKyle, While I agree that this is better handled privately, I am glad it was made public. It looks like Seafighter was frustrated by his experience and I don't know all the details of his transaction. But from reading this and seeing that you eventually got him what he ordered and the "polite" way that you have been responding to him gives me more confidence in dealing with you, not less. Until something goes wrong, you never know the level of a company's customer service. There are a few companies that I am very loyal to and give them my repeat business because of the way they handled a previous mistake with me -- even if I could find a better price elsewhere.

Thank you so much, Murray, for the vote of confidence. It's important to us to have satisfied customers, all the way. After all, we are a family-owned business, and we would like to continue to see our company grow, and eventually pass it on to our own children. No way could we do that without making sure that everyone is ultimately satisfied with our products and services.

Again, I appreciate your insight. It really means a lot to me, Murray. Because in this day and age, you only seem to hear about the bad, especially when you're the "new kid". :D

I am sure that mine was an isolated incident and I'm truly glad everyone else was satisfied. I don't want to keep correcting Kyle's statement's, however, but my frustration is not bourne from issues out of their control. Quite the contrary, and we have been extremely patient. Kyle has now sent me an e-mail and I have reminded him of some of the details he may not recall. I hope he will continue to communicate with me using personal e-mail until everything is resolved. Are there detailed templates available somewhere for these seats? Some look either straight or at least considerably less curved than others and I have some measuring to do to see what I can fit in different arrangments.

mccabekyle
03-23-07, 07:43 PM
Seafighter,

Please understand that we are doing everything we can to get your chairs picked up. After all, we won't receive our credit from Berkline until they are back at the factory. And as you already know, those are pretty pricey chairs! ;) Thanks again for your patience!

Mike Lang,

We don't have any detailed templates at the moment, but I will try to make some ASAP. Please note that all of our Coaster seats have a slight curvature to them. For now, the best we can do is offer you the overall dimensions of each product. Please don't hesitate to call, email, or PM me if you have any specific measurements you would like to me to make.

I've been aggravating him for a few months now and he has always answered my questions and offered his advice when I've asked. Kyle,

Can you tell me what the difference is between the promenade and cinema setup you have pictured?(2nd and 3rd from the last setups pictured) We were originally looking at berkline's but they are so expensive. This price seems unbelievable.

We are interested in a curved setup with a loveseat in the center so these look good but we saw they are both the same price and it is hard to gauge the differences.

-Which is more comfortable.
-Do the loveseat sections recline as well as the outter seats?
-What is the warranty on the reclining mechanisms?

Kerry,

I'm sure you were looking for a non-biased opinion from a consumer, but since no one has jumped on it, I'll give you my own personal opinion. The storage in the Paramount is what really makes them a great buy, but I still lean toward the Studio and Director chairs. Especially the Studio. It seems much more accommodating for a person of my stature. The arms are nice and high, and the seats aren't too narrow. This is in comparison to the lower arms of the Paramount. I also prefer the angle of the Studio's backrest to that of the Paramount. But ultimately, it's a personal thing, so if you can sit in them somewhere, I would suggest doing so.

dannyz,

Thanks for the heads up! I had to do some "pruning" in my AVS inbox! But I did reply to your email. ;)

Just a quick note to let everyone know of the great service I received from Kyle today... I PM'd him with several questions and follow ups. All of my questions were answered quickly, patiently and in a very helpful manner.

I then called him on the phone and talked to him for what seemed like an hour, and he couldn't be any nicer. I ended up ordering two sets of the Executive seating in tri-tone/dark brown.

I can hardly wait to receive them (hopefully in a couple of weeks) and re-arrange my theater room.

I am seriously considering these seats as well in that color. The website though says Tri-Tone, Black & Burgandy (?). PLEASE take some photos and upload them. Are they Brown or are they Burgandy???

If anyone else has some additional pictures of these seats in that color, please upload them to this thread, or post a link!

The powerbuy page here (http://www.carolinafurnituregroup.com/avspowerbuy/coaster_powerbuy.htm) specifically mentions "Available in 100% Saddle Brown (http://www.carolinafurnituregroup.com/ProductImages/cfg600149_large.jpg) Leather, and a beautiful Tri-Tone (http://www.carolinafurnituregroup.com/ProductImages/cfg600139_large.jpg) dark brown leather." Guys, just to clarify... I have much personal experience with these particular chairs. The "Tri-Tone" chairs are NOT burgundy, but more of a rich brown/black "mottled" finish. When I think "burgundy", I think hints of red, which is NOT the case!!!! I double-checked our website to make sure it said nothing about burgundy, so whoever's website you are viewing has made a simple mistake.

Kyle,

I just wanted to thank you for your prompt responses to my inquiry's. Big props.

Kyle got me the furniture I wanted at a fantastic price. Couldn't be happier. Well, I could be, but not about the furniture.

Funny story, I come home for lunch and there's a pallet of boxes sitting in front of my door. It seems the delivery guys had the wrong number(it was right everywhere else but on the shippers stuff), and the delivered when no one was home. Not a big deal, at least they didn't leave it in the street and everything is in great condition, and it wasn't too heavy to get everything in once separated to the individual components.

I got the Paramount setup and am very pleased. I shopped the local furniture stores and was lucky to find a microfiber setup at 2x the cost(plus delivery).
