I live in Central Florida. We currently have E* with the HD channels. I am thinking about switching to Brighthouse because they offer the local HD channels. E* you have to use an OTA antenna ... which is NOT an option where I live. Want to know anyone's experience with Brighthouse. Doing some research, brighthouse has gotten big reviews. But I am leary about ditching the dish for cable.

Why isn't a antenna a option? Distance?
Where do you live?

Live in Wildwood. Antennaweb says I'm too far away to get most of the Orlando stations, except a couple. I also have several obstructions that prevent a clear line of sight to the southeast.

Antennawebs' colors doesn't cut it AFAIC.
Using this as reference ( you can fine tun the location and C&P the lat & long to the next link);
http://tiger.census.gov/cgi-bin/mapbrowse-tbl?lat=28.87495&lon=-82.09289&wid=0.25&ht=0.25&mlat=28.87495&mlon=-82.09289&msym=redpin&off=CITIES&mlabel=Wildwood+Division,+FL

I get this;
http://www.2150.com/broadcast/default.asp?latitude=28%2E87495&longitude=%2D82%2E09289&magnetic_north=%2D8&range=70&sort=distance&show_expired=True&show_construction=True&show_analog=True&show_low_power=False&action=Show+Stations

Looks as most of your stations are at 63 miles (using the above reference). Florida is pretty flat which would work to your advantage. What obstructiuons are you talking about?

There's a 3 story building that's in the way. Unless I erect a 30 foot pole, I won't be able to get a "clear shot" toward Orlando. WESH is not a problem because their tower is more toward Daytona.
