Did anyone take shots of it using an HD camera, I mean, any TV station? I've seen it today, but only on SD channels(CNN, MSNBC and Fox 5 News - NY).

It does look great though, especially the upper deck which will cost a fortune. The photos I've seen make that plane's first class a top notch way to travel if you can't afford your own or rent a private jet. You can turn your seat into a bed. You have a LCD screen next to your seat which also has a power outlet and internet connection.

KTLA covered it this morning on their Morning News show, which is in HD, so I assume they had HD coverage.

Unfortunately, it was pretty hazy, so it likely didn't add much.

I do not want to see pictures, I've seen lots of them. I watched the video of it landing at JFK. I'd like to watch that video in HD.

I did see the hard jerk as it landed in SD. I dont know about everyone but can you imagine how long it will take to load/depart 700 + people on that plane?

I saw it in person last May, landing for the first time at Heathrow. That was impressive. The thing is so big, it looks like it's moving in slow motion. Reminded me of the first time I saw a 747 landing.

And the Heathrow terminal was torn up with construction, partly because of the need to prepare for deplaning passengers from two levels of the plane simultaneously.

I thought the jerk on landing was interesting. One of the causes of the two year delay for the A380 is because the landing gear can't be turned with respect to the airplane. Airbus has had occasions where the tires were rolled off of the rims because of the side load on the gear. Looks like they haven't fixed it yet.

Actually they say they can fully load the plane in about 20 minutes... two gates for the front and the back if the airport is so equipped. I'm sure since there are only a few airports that can even handle the plane itself, they'll be ready to take care of however many passengers are on board just as efficiently as any other plane.

KABC had live shots of it last night from their HD helicopter parked at LAX for the Los Angeles landing. In their filed report, there was a shot of a spectator with a Sony HVR-Z1 (HDR-FX1 pro equivalent) HDV camcorder, so ground level HD footage exists somewhere. It's 6pm now in LA and KABC is about to show live HD shots from their helicopter of the take off provided it happens during the 6pm newscast.

It took off from LAX during the 6pm newscast on KABC and I saw it in HD. Here are the screencaps.

great shots Tony, thanks. I arrived late home yesterday, so I couldn't even get to my 11:00pm news here(NYC metro area).
