I wanted to start again by thanking all of my friends that helped me build the HT.I also want to give a special thanks to my live in girlfriend that owns the house with me for allowing me to build the HT.It was very painful at times in the 6 months that it took for us to build it.I went over budget in many areas, this all started as a small project but I guess the influence of people like Sandman made it hard to skimp on anything.I also wanted to thank Charles Bloom that lives in my area and invited me many times to his home to get ideas. He has a beautiful HT that many of you guys have seen here in the AVS forum.I hope to have more pics in the future.I have pics of the construction part of it but those times were a pain for me.Green glue, double sheetrock, stage, riser, beach sand, fabric, linacoustics, polyfill, butt kickers and on and on.Thanks again to everyone including all of the other people that have shared their rooms here on the forum. If it wasn't for you guys I would never be enjoying this room

Hooray!

Cool little room. The chairs look comfy and I like the color. The floor trim looks really good, though make sure to fill in the nail holes and paint!

RichardThanks Richard,I still have lots of work to do.I just finished the fiber optic lighting but it didn't come out in the pics.I'm also upgrading from a optoma 72 to a jvc rs-1.I'm at a stage were I'm enjoyng the room more and doing less work on it.It feels like it's never ending.I'm also going to be working on the entrance before entering the HT candy stand ,posters ,a runway area rug movie theme type .I already have a popcorn maker and I'm getting fatter by the minutes

Popcorn with butter will do that. It's amazing how many little details are always left to do. I think there should be a clinical name for the laziness that comes over people once the audio and video are installed.

Haltitis - halt-eye-tus, noun: The state of uninspiration regarding the build of a home theater once audio and video are at wokring state. All else falls to the side. Accompanied by long periods of exposure to blistering decibal levels and reflective or retro-reflective illumination.

Keep going! It'll all be worth it in the end. Congrats on the upgrade.

The room looks fantastic. I was very close to ordering those chairs myself but I ended up going with the 45004's as I didn't have the room with the larger width of the "enterprize" chairs.
I really like the colors and layout hope you enjoy it a ton.
Very well done.
Cheers

You did a great job Chuck! I have been to this theater several times and I can tell everyone who views these pictures that the pictures don't do this fantastic theater justice. I was extremely impressed with the workmanship and framing of the front screen and the attention to detail throughout the room. I know you are in the process of upgrading the projector (and I expect an invite to see the new one in action!). The accoustics are excellent too. I some respects I like your theater better than mine, and mine aint too shabby either. You have reason to be proud..... Amaze your friends and family and Enjoy!!!

Damn, I gotta hurry up my theater construction!

We just passed the insulation inspection (which the inspector said it was the best job he's ever seen :D ) so the next step is drywall. In one week of work we will do the whole house..........

By the way, GREAT theater! So what components/speakers/subs are you putting in there?

Yeah, you should sign up for the JL Audio fieldtrip some of us AVS guys are taking (it's stickied in the subwoofer forum). I haven't gotten to hear the F-113 yet but I have gotten a listen to Chasw98's infinite baffle sub up in Margate and it's been the best sub I've experienced to date; that old guy has some great DIY stuff which I am definitely going to build for my HT. I bought 4 x 18" drivers to put in an IB as well.

I'm a real basshead so I would love to hear what the F113 can bring to the table in terms of price/performance.
