Seeing that your about 50 miles from all of your local stations and none show up with that zip unless I put in a higher elevation, you are most likely going to need a high gain UHF antenna mounted as high as possible outdoors. If that's not an option, you might want to find another way to get your local HD stations.
You may have better luck visiting the local reception forum here and looking for an LA thread.

You are around 49 miles from the broadcast towers located on the top of Mt. Wilson. There are people in the LA region who do get the stations at very long ranges using an indoor antenna because the towers are around 6000' above sea level. But they have a clear line of sight to the towers or close to it.
From your zip code, the broadcast towers are at 323 degrees to the NW with respect to magnetic north. Looking up the correction for magnetic north for LA, the broadcast towers are around 335 degrees to the NW. Are you located on an upper floor with a view or have a place to locate an antenna aimed to the NWN?
All of the digital stations in LA are currently on UHF. If you do have a clear view, you could give the Silver Sensor UHF indoor antenna a try. The Philips version of this antenna can be found at some Circuit Cities for $25 (model # PHDTV1). Keep the receipt so you can return it if it does not work. Even with a clear view, at 49 miles, you are likely to need a more substantial antenna and have to mount it in an attic or on the roof. But we need to know more about the layout of your place and elevation above the local terrain.
