I am in the middle of my theater build, and was hoping for some input on speaker placement.
My room will have a false wall for the front screen wall. The speakers (L, R, C and sub) will be behind some Dazian CCC covered panels. When I carpet the room, should I run the carpet behind the panels, and set the speakers on those, or should I stop the carpet at the panels (sitting on the stage) and set the speakers on the plywood? the stage will be filled with fiberglass insulation (I don't have the load bearing on the floor to fill it with sand). I have not yet decided if I will glue/nail the stage down, or leave it "floating" to help decouple from the floor - but then I will worry about extra vibrations in the stage...
anyways, any help would be appreciated.
