Nice. I've seen trailers for Paprika and it looks good. I'll have to tell my relatives to pick it up for me when they come over to visit this summer.

I should have the disc in a few days; will let you know.
They're releasing Paprika in France as well. If only one of those played on a US machine, would probably be much cheaper than a Japanese import.
I'm hoping they release it here. It only first went into theatrical release in the US this week.
The Japanese BD does not have Eng subtitles.
The Japanese BD does not have Eng subtitles.Pretty sure the French release does, but unsure if it's region free.
I believe the French release is region free. I haven't heard definitively about whether it'll have Eng subs though.
If they use simply port the video from the Jap BD, then I can't recommend it, disappointing PQ. LPCM is nice though.

Thanks a lot for the info. I will import the french version then.

I thought this one was slated for a US release this year. Why not wait and save some $$$?

I was referring to Paprika, but I could be thinking of Gits. I'll see if I can find a link.

Paidgeek,
Is a domestic release of Paprika on the schedule for this year?
Yes, it is being considered for release later this year.
:)
That means nothing. Any title could be considered for release. Remember titles like Crouching Tiger? How about Winged Migration? Those were all Sony titles considered for release.
